چکیده

Less physical activity (PA) has been associated with the development of psychopathology in adolescence. Few studies, however, have focused on understanding nature PA – relationship and existing research relies mostly self-report measures, which are less reliable. In this study, we investigated relationships between objectively measured light (LPA) moderate-vigorous (MVPA), symptoms adolescents. 934 adolescents (63% female) aged 11–19 years from SIGMA cohort wore Fitbit Charge 2 measuring LPA MVPA during at least three days. Participants completed Brief Symptom Inventory-53, assessing general psychopathology, depression, anxiety, psychoticism. Model selection was conducted a subset dataset (n = 464) to determine best fit. The optimal model then fitted remainder 470). results selected linear indicated non-significant LPA, MVPA, This study does not provide evidence that higher durations alone relate reduced psychoticism adolescent population. A more integrative approach considering interdependency multiple lifestyle factors, as well domain, context, individual experience may add value PA-psychopathology relationship.
